Frequently asked questions

Should I bathe my horse?

Yes, please. Your horse should be clean, dry, and horse-show ready. A fresh bath helps highlight their coat, markings, and muscle tone in photos. Make sure they’re fully dry and free of dust or sweat before the shoot for the best results.

What colors should I avoid?

Avoid bright neon colors, bold patterns, and large logos, as they can be distracting in photos. Very dark colors (especially black) and pure white can also be tricky to photograph. Soft, neutral, and earthy tones tend to photograph best and keep the focus on you and your horse.

Should I ride my horse before?

Yes. Whether you ride or lunge, plan to have your horse worked down before the session. A lightly worked horse is more relaxed, focused, and comfortable, which leads to better expressions and overall results during the shoot.

When will I get my photos?

Turnaround time can vary depending on the season and how many sessions I have in a given week. Generally, final edited images are delivered within 2–3 weeks. For commercial shoots, a full gallery preview of unedited images may be provided by request.
